Follow my mildly nomadic life as I stumble my way around the UK and sometimes the world.

Brighton, UK

This week I took a little trip down to the south coast of England where I explored the streets of Brighton with lovely Charlotte Snowball from The Mindful Drifter (@the_mindfuldrifter). Check out what we got up to below...

Beacon Mill, Rottingdean

After the nearly 2 hour drive down to Brighton from Woking we were both getting hangry and were in desperate need of some coffee so we made a little pitstop at The Breakfast Club.

Afterwards we headed out towards the beach to get some shots on what turned out to be a beaut of a day!

I'm one for the moody look in my pictures.

All that remains of the West Pier after the arson attack in 2003

Looking out at the West Pier allows for so much nostalgia! Originally built in 1886 you can only imagine the amount of families that graced the pier with their presence over the years but now all you see is the shell of what used to be after it was burnt down during an arson attack back in 2003.

A little further down the beach we came across the beautiful bandstand which dates back to 1884. One of the few Victorian bandstands surviving in Britain today.

With the winter days being so short, once we'd gotten all the way down to the end of the beach it was time for the sun to dip past the horizon once again.

We then headed back into town to get the car before heading home for the night. If you're looking to head to Brighton in the future, check out the Visit Brighton website to see what else you can get up to in this beautiful coastal town.
